Ark Survival Evolved Will Release On Android & iOS on 14th June

Ark: Survival Evolved is an action-adventure survival video game developed by Studio Wildcard in collaboration with Instinct Games, Efecto Studios, and Virtual Basement.In the game, players must survive being stranded on an island filled with roaming dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, natural hazards, and potentially hostile human players.


Ark Survival Evolved will release on android and iOS on 14th of June. Game will have a free to play gameplay and will also include in app purchases and ads. Although, users can pay $3.99/month of primal pass or $34.99 for the entire year which will remove all ads, provide early access to special events, exclusive server access, and a double XP buff for life.

 

 

To drive the Free-to-Play Gameplay, Ark will have something called Ancient Amber which will act as a premium currency for building structures, applying buffs, and obtaining items. According to studio, Ancient Amber is a rare resource that can also be purchased (making it an in-game currency) and is tied to user's account on an individual server or in single player. It can be obtained without purchasing it directly in a variety of ways:

 

  • Harvested from large predators
  • Found in Amber deposits scattered around The Island
  • Random chance to obtain from Free Gifts 
  • From watching Ads
  • Random chance to obtain from stones picked up off the ground 

 

War Drum Studios is handling all the porting work and they have previously worked on porting some big titles like Rockstar’s Bully: Anniversary, Max Payne, and Grand Theft Auto mobile ports.Mobile version will have all the PC version features like single-player mode, over 80 creatures that you can tame, and the levelling, crafting, and building systems etc. 

 

Also Ark: Survival Evolved’s tribe system will let you play with other players to build a base, expand its size, and attack other bases, supporting upto 49 simultaneous players.
